(He’s not the man he used to be and never is it more apparent than after a mission. He’s colder, quieter, and allows Steve to touch but not hold; Steve drapes his arm over the Soldier’s shoulders, taking care to not grip him close. After a few hours, Bucky will come back to him; what’s left of Bucky, anyway, a wry smile and raised brow that says thank you and you’re an idiot all at once.)

So wow, hello new fandom, hello new ship obsession, it’s so good to see you! I watched The Winter Soldier a couple of days ago for the first time and holy wow, I have no idea why I waited so long. What an awesome movie. What a heartbreaking ship.

First time drawing these two, absolutely not the last. I have no idea why I tried to do all these difficult things all at once (a scene from the back, the damn shield, both of them dressed). I’d originally planned on a happy, shippy scene of them eating cereal in bed. :a
