Okay… Really now I want a Fic where Steve finds Bucky and brings him home, but at first, whenever Bucky looks at Steve, all his brain can process/recognize are the familiar eyes staring back at him and his brain pieces together a memory of skinny!Steve, and that is how Bucky initially sees Steve upon return, until he’s fully (or at least more) mentally recovered.
