Giveaway A Day in April

stimtastic:

The “Giveaway A Day” is back by popular demand!

image

April is Autism Acceptance and Autism Awareness month. It’s also a month
that can be really hard for autistic people. So we’re hoping to making things a
little less hard by creating a fun new giveaway each day.

Most giveaways will be stim toys, jewelry and items made by autistic and
neurodivergent artists, but we’ve also got a few big days planned,
including iPad Airs, weighted vests, premium AAC apps, and noise
cancelling headphones. We’ll also be doing second-chance giveaways–one
more chance to win a giveaway you entered during the preceding week. That means
each giveaway you enter gives you two chances to win!

April 1st Giveaway – how to enter:

  • The first giveaway is easy to enter – just reblog this post to help spread the word!
  • We’ll draw 1 winner for every 100 reblogs and each winner will receive the chewable jewelry item of their choice.
  • Deadline to enter: 1 PM (EST) April 2nd

Executive Function tip: Bookmark the master post on Stimtastic.co and check back regularly for updates. We’ll post details
on each days’ giveaway, including how and where to enter, who won and
what’s coming up next.

Please check the general rules on the master post before submitting questions. Spoons are in short supply in April! 🙂

***A note about deadlines: Doing a giveaway every day is a lot of work so some drawings might not happen right at the announced time. Some drawings might happen later than announced, but we will never draw a winner before the stated deadline.

Thank you to

Half Crazy, Completely Brilliant for the wonderful graphic!

I GOT MY TANGLES TODAY! I blogged about them HERE. tl;dr, I am 100% happy! If you have a few dollars to spare and need stim toys, you should think about buying cheap tangles too!

Hey you know that post that went around about ebay listings for super cheap tangle toys?

My tangles arrived today. They arrived in two padded envelopes. (I ordered two from the original listing, and two from the second when the first listing expired.) Despite the listings saying the tangles were generic, they are ALL genuine tangles, or very good knock offs with the official Tangle logo. They got my colour choices bang on correct. It got to me in exactly two weeks, which is SUPER QUICK for Australia.

So, I spent approximately $16AUD to get four tangles. For comparison, to buy ONE I’d be lucky to get it for that price once shipping is factored in.

So, go get ‘em, peeps. They’re legit, they’re cheap, they’re quick, and they actually send you the right product.

Bracelet I found that I decided would be good for stealthy stimming. Hard, heavy, plastic beads with a matt texture on a stretchy string. Unfortunately, there was no stealthy colour option – the choice was hot pink, hot orange or hot yellow. Cost: $3.

Since the Manhattan puzzle was so awesome, I hit up the bigger Target today and bought the eight puzzles they had that I hadn’t already bought. Highlights include a Bourbon Street and a San Fransico puzzle by the same artist that did the Manhattan one! So I now have ten puzzles, all 500 pieces, all small enough to do on the piano stool while sitting on my sofa, all $1 each.

Also, I’d liked a Beanie Boos plushie at the other Target, but thought it was too large to be practical to carry around with me. It was a rainbow cat. This Target had a whole shelf full of this brand of plush, some larger, like the cat, some smaller. They didn’t have the cat in the smaller size, but they did have this owl which I immediately fell in love with and didn’t want to put down. He’s so soft, even the glittery bits, and I couldn’t stop rubbing him against my face the whole way to the checkouts. Oh, and according to his tag, his name is Oscar. He was $7.
