“Diets do not work. Not just paleo or Atkins or Weight Watchers or Goop, but all diets.
Since 1959, research has shown that 95 to 98 percent of attempts to
lose weight fail and that two-thirds of dieters gain back more than they
lost. The reasons are biological and irreversible.

“

Fatsplaining at its finest. I don’t give a fuck when someone chooses to not be healthy, but don’t sit there and make bullshit excuses and blame anything other than yourself and your lack of self control. Take responsibility and own up to it, you’re not fooling anyone.

I’m sorry other people’s shapes make you so angry that you pretend science is wrong

Obviously this person must think climate change is wrong and vaccines cause autism

Everything You Know About Obesity Is Wrong

biandlesbianliterature:

Soft on Soft by Em Ali (which I received as an ARC with a different title, #FatGirlsInLove, that appears to be a working title) is an entirely unique story. It’s a romance between two fat sapphic women: Selena, a Black demisexual model, and June, the Arab-Persian, anxious make-up artist. Thanks to the profession of the two protagonists, Soft on Soft is full of diverse bodies being celebrated, colourful descriptions, flowers, and altogether vivid mental images.

Zephyr (Faith Herbert) is a psiot with the power of flight. She is a member of Peter Stanchek’s Renegades and often acts as the moral compass of the team.

She’s so cute and positive and she’s such a sweetheart

Oh my god????

My chest just got so tight and I think I’m going to cry she looks like me

If you’re interested in the comics, Faith is from Harbinger (published by Valiant Comics). Her one-shot can be purchased here.

I need this. Right now. It’s funny how you don’t know some aspect of yourself isn’t represented in a certain media until it IS and you’re just sitting there, looking at it, drinking it in like you’ve been thirsty for 41 years.

Wow.

Faith has her own title! It’s super cute! Also you should buy it if you can, because supporting positive plus size rep shows publishers that there’s a market for diversity.

Julian Dennison is out here preaching about the importance of body diversity and representation in the media and I’m honestly so here for it.

“Deadpool is a quirky universe, which is all about being outside of the box, unlike a normal superhero film,” he says, adding that he’s always been confident and comfortable with his body image. “For me, personally, it’s really cool to play someone who other people can finally look at it and see that a bigger person can portray this awesome character.” [x]
