In Matt Fraction’s Hawkeye series, Clint has named his dog “Lucky”.

And I’m just now reading Edmonson’s Black Widow. In it, Natasha has a cat, which she has named “Liho”.

For those of you who don’t know, Liho or Likho is a Russian spirit/creature type thing who is the embodiment of bad luck.

So Clint’s dog is named for good luck, and Nat’s cat is named for the opposite.

Nathan Edmondson (you know, the current writer for the Black Widow solo comic who is also incredibly amazing) wrote a six-page intro for a potential Black Widow script and posted it on his website.

I like how Natasha is just like “Meh, it’s Clint. If I just dropped everything I was doing whenever Clint did something stupid, I’d never have time for anything.”

It’s like she has part-time custody of Clint but Kate’s dealing with him right now, so it’s okay.
