a book fountain in Budapest

this is one of the coolest fountains I’ve ever seen

#You and I remember Budapest very differently. #That’s because you were too fascinated by the book fountain to notice anything else. #TASHA. IT WAS A FOUNTAIN THAT LOOKED LIKE A /BOOK./ #I know I was there— #BUT DO YOU REALLY KNOW?

#WHAT REALLY HAPPENED IN BUDAPEST.

natasha
azalea, nightshade, tiger lily

sam
bird of paradise, delphinium, zinnia

for the anon who asked if i was doing more (x), and visardist who suggested zinnias for sam (x) – i decided to add more variety for sam just because, while sticking to comic book falcon colours for the zinnias.

for natasha: azaleas for temperance and passion (apparently sending a bouquet of azaleas was quite a known death threat as azaleas are actually toxic), nightshade (as anon suggested) as its other name is belladona such that nat is as deadly as she is beautiful, and tiger lilies for her passion and feminity.

for sam: because the bird of paradise looks akin to a colourful bird in flight- that is what sam is: distinctive and spectacular, blue delphiniums for loyalty and levity, zinnias for goodness and constancy/lasting affection.

You know what’s really cool?

In Matt Fraction’s Hawkeye series, Clint has named his dog “Lucky”.

And I’m just now reading Edmonson’s Black Widow. In it, Natasha has a cat, which she has named “Liho”.

For those of you who don’t know, Liho or Likho is a Russian spirit/creature type thing who is the embodiment of bad luck.

So Clint’s dog is named for good luck, and Nat’s cat is named for the opposite.
