HELLO MY NAME IS JAMES I AM A QUEER TRANS POC AND I NEED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

so hey i’m starting college soon!!! and also getting top surgery soon!!! WOAH so many things happening. Basically I need money for textbooks, various school fees, and to help my parents pay for my surgery.

The textbooks and software I need for the engineering school are super duper expensive (altogether i’ll be spending several hundred dollars on the technology fee, textbooks, and the software bundle that I need for my classes)

Right now im worrying the most about paying for things ill need for school since my mom keeps telling me not to worry about paying for the surgery cause she may be getting a new job soon but i dont want to pressure her so much with all these money troubles

what can you do to help? well i knit and im getting lots better at it!! i would greatly appreciate it if you commissioned me

i can knit headbands, hats, arm warmers, wrist bands, gloves, dishcloths, chokers and more

you can look through my knitting tag to see some things ive knit or send me an ask if you want a specific example

send me an ask and we can talk prices if you want to buy something and i can work with you for your budget

if you don’t want to commission anything but would like to help i would be very grateful if you could donate or signal boost by reblogging this post

there is a donate button on the sidebar of my blog

every little bit counts

thank you!!!!

This photoset is especially for the folks who voted for my next project to be Sam Wilson. So here he is…just in time for him to stop being Falcon and become the new Cap! (No rest for the wicked.) I went with a t-shirt and 511s instead of the official uniform. He was already going to be complicated, and he can go casual now too. His wings are detachable, and his guns are attached via little magnets. I hear Anthony Mackie’s sister knits. Maybe she will see this!

I SALUTE YOU.

My little brother was under the impression that “only girls can knit”.

AHAHAHAHA!

My mom set him straight pretty damned quickly.

And I showed him pictures of actual dude-folk knitting. (Yay Google.)

I’d point and laugh, but that’d be unfair.  Sam is autistic (much more disabled than I am) and cognitively impaired and sometimes picks up gendered ideas I’d prefer he did not through school and media.

I’m not sure if he has the patience, but I’m going to try to set him up with a cast-on and have him do a garter stitch scarf for our sister (who he adores) in red Super Bulky yarn.  (Purling just seems like a bit much at his level – at least all at once, anyway, because I know neurotypical adults who have trouble purling.  Maybe if he enjoys it.)

It’d be cool if he did have the patience.  I doubt he’ll be at where I’m at, but it’d be neat if we could share that.

Google ‘soldiers knitting’ – IT’S AWESOME.

I may have taught this spider to knit.
I was finishing the last 20 rows at the park, when this little spider wandered over to me, It climbed up my knitting bag, and walked all up and down the piece, then climbed onto my hand and watched me for a couple rows.
After the second row it started waving it’s front four legs as if to get my attention. Once I was looking at it, it started pulling silk from its spinneret, and fiddling with it. I don’t know if it was knitting or purling as it was quite small scale, but every few seconds it would stop and look up at me to see if I was still watching. After a little bit I moved it to one of the vines overhanging the archway I was sitting in, and it went about its business.
This wasn’t the only unusual thing that happened at the park today, but it was the most unusual.

Maybe it thought you were a spider

I’m gonna level with you that’s the fucking cutest shit I have ever fucking heard of okay I want a little spider that knits not sits menacingly above my bed at night threatening to fall into my mouth.

Try as you might but you will never be as perfect as Misha Collins is.

I rarely use the term “My future husband”, but in this case….

…Misha Collins knits. Misha Collins knits.

Misha Collins in a yarn shop!  Are those socks?  It’s a pair of SOMETHING but it could be mittens or gloves.

And I feel him on the thing about his kids.  At some point you’re just like “Oh come on, no don’t do that – oh fine.  It’s not like you can get MORE germs than you already did.” *facepalm*
