New Resin & Wood Jewelry by Britta Boeckmann
Melbourne-based designer Britta Boeckmann found her calling as a jewelry craftsman after graduating in 2013 with a degree in industrial design. She joined the Wangaratta Woodworkers studio after moving away from Germany. Since then, Boeckmann has been keeping herself busy perfecting her technique in making her own style of ethnic Outback jewellery.
The color of the resin and the wood is inspired by indigenous Australian tones found in nature. No two pieces are alike in her jewellery series as each is made with attentive detail. From casting resin, shaping moulds, sanding each of the pieces until they are uniquely shaped, and then polishing it with a final varnish to give them a refined look – every step requires a gentle hand. You can find more of her work on her Etsy shop.
