Today we’re brunching on some of the most intricate and beautiful fruit pies we’ve ever seen. Seattle-based home baker Lauren Ko arranges long, thin strips of dough, finely sliced fruits, and nuts into complex lattices and other elaborate designs.

“I’m driven by color and pattern, so I’m constantly brainstorming color combinations and geometric patterns that I think I can replicate with pie dough [and] fruit,” she explains. “What I create during a particular baking session is also often informed by produce that is in season and what’s currently in my fridge. My final products are generally happy accidents.”

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has followed me so far and a warm Hello and welcome to all my new followers. 😀

For those who have been with me since the beginning of the Oriens Tarot deck journey, i want to give my sincere thanks and gratitude to you for sticking with me throughout these years, sending me love and support even when I couldn’t create content.

These few years have been turbulent to say the least, with me having to relocate to another country, dealing with unemployment which turned into working too many jobs, that completely wrecked my health, injured my wrists and made me bed ridden for a month.

I’m hoping that i will be able to better manage my work life balance next year and be able to churn out content without injuring myself again. 😀 As it is, i’m already planning out the next 3 cards that i am hoping to complete before mid year. I don’t want to promise anything, because somehow every time i thought i was able to get on track, life throws me a lot of lemons and unfortunately i will have to spend a lot of time making lemonade out of them.

Once again, thank you all for understanding the amount of time it takes to create each piece, because of my full time work and terrible health, and also thank you everyone for all your kind messages, asks, re-blogs, and likes. It is because of you that i am able to pick myself up again and again through tough times and push myself to create the best illustration that i can, be it for the Oriens Tarot Deck or any of my freelance work.

Wishing you a Merry Everything & Happy Always.
