Stimtastic is doing a Giveaway a Day in April

stimtastic:

April is Autism Acceptance and Autism Awareness month. It’s also a month that can be really hard for autistic people to get through. So we’re hoping to making things a little less hard by creating a fun new giveaway each day.

Most giveaways will be small – stim toys and jewelry – but we’ve also got a few big days planned, including a premium AAC software app, an iPad mini and noise cancelling headphones. We’ll also be doing second-chance giveaways—one more chance to win a giveaway you entered during the preceding week. That means each giveaway you enter gives you two chances to win!

Giveaway masterpost with details of all of the daily giveaways We’ll post details on each days’ giveaway there, including how and where to enter, who won and what’s coming up next.

To enter today’s giveaway for a chewable jewelry item of your choice, just reblog this post before 1 PM EST on April 2nd!

giveaway!

we are: a household of three non-binary autistic folks, two of whom have bpd, one of whom is schizophrenic, all of whom struggle with anxiety/depression stuff with all the trimmings.  we know brain weird, and we know how hard winter (and especially the holiday season) can be for people like us—cold dim days, noisy crowds everywhere, flashing lights, extra-busy retail jobs, dealing with relatives who don’t get it.  we’ve been there, and we want to help ease the passage into the new year with nice things.  that’s why we’re making self-care surprise kits to start 2015 off on a good note!

if you are: neurodivergent and/or mentally ill, especially if you’re those things and also trans and/or non-binary, reblog this post to enter our giveaway!  (if you simply want to boost this post for your followers to see, please tag accordingly so we know.)  be aware that if you win, you will need to give us a mailing address, so if it’s not okay to send a parcel to where you live/get your mail, we’d be happy to send it to a friend who can receive it for you!

self-care kits will include some or even all of the following:

  • a LUSH gift card
  • a bath & body works gift card
  • a handmade beaded bracelet with an uplifting message
  • a soft little plush friend you can keep in your pocket
  • an expertly-crafted chain maille stim/fidget toy
  • unscented candles (we know sometimes scents can be overwhelming)
  • happy drawings that you can look at when you feel down
  • LUSH products such as lotion, bath bombs, soaps, etc
  • stickers
  • cute bandaids
  • a link to a little song written especially for the winners
  • other surprises!

giveaway ends january 1, 2015, when we will select four winners at random out of those who have reblogged this post.

even when you feel alone, there are people out there who understand what you’re going through.  your experiences are valid, your needs are important, you are believed, and you matter. ♥

(obligatory disclaimer: we are not associated with or endorsed by tumblr or any company in any official capacity, this is just giving presents to people we haven’t yet met.  if you are under the legal age of majority where you live, please consult a guardian before giving out your personal information.)

This holiday season, win a free paperback copy of The Second Mango. Feminism, femslash, and a friendly dragon are just around the corner!

It’s hard to find a girlfriend when you don’t know any other lesbians, so the young, nerdy Queen Shulamit hires the legendary warrior Rivka to take her around the kingdom on the back of her dragon in search of other girls like her. But the simple quest quickly turns into a rescue mission when they discover a temple full of women turned to stone by an evil sorcerer.

  • Shipping will be free to any continental US address; anyone outside this range can opt to have the book mailed to a US friend or pay for international shipping
  • Reblogs will stop counting on December 16 at noon, Florida time
  • One prize will be awarded each night between December 16 and December 23.
  • Prize is one paperback copy of The Second Mango, except for the final prize, which will be both The Second Mango and Climbing the Date Palm plus a handmade rainbow pride necklace
  • You can enter as many times as you want
  • Likes do not count as an entry, only reblogs
  • Do not erase the comments below the picture
  • Tagging your post “signal boost” means the reblog doesn’t count, if you don’t want to enter, but it is still appreciated.

Archer — a pattern for knit socks by Ashley Lyn Gardner.  To celebrate the release of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1,” this pattern is available for free until Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 11:59PM EST.

Okay, but imagine these in purple. For Hawkeye. (But I can’t get the “Free” thing to work.)

To get it free you have to hit the ‘buy it now’ link on the pattern page, then the big green ‘buy it now’ button on the popup. Rather than sending you to a payment page, you’ll immediately get a receipt page and the link to the pattern. That’s how it worked for me, anyway.
