MCU Clint Barton: Rugged and Handsome Action Hero, defeats hordes of Chitauri without getting a scratch on him, lands sick jumps off skyscrapers, too cool to speak outside of quips

Comic Book Clint Barton: gets his ass kicked by russian gangsters in tracksuits on a daily basis, would probably eat floor pizza if Kate wasn’t around to stop him

True enough, HOWEVER: Comic Book Clint Barton has plenty of moments of sheer incandescent badass,

therefore it only stands to logic that MCU Clint Barton does indeed eat the floor pizza because there is no Kate around to stop him.

Hawkeye vs. Deadpool #0

I really appreciated all the little nods to Clint’s deafness in this issue. I’m glad other writers are acknowledging it and it’s not just a temporary thing in Fraction’s run. I also enjoy the fact that Wade apparently knows sign language.

[on diversity in media] I think its social responsibility. I think it’s our responsibility to stand up and say what we want. It think if you look at television in the past two years, it’s becoming the decade of the female. Like, all these new shows with female leads. Even if you look at television, as well as cable, as well as films, there’s been a resurgence, as far as the leading woman in Hollywood, which is great. And I think we’re also at the point now…you know, it’s interesting…x

Quick tip for those who may not know, Kamala Khan’s first name is pronounced ‘Kam-La’ as opposed to ‘Ka-Ma-La’

Might not seem like a big deal, but she’s the first (and thus far only) South Asian superhero to have her own title, and the closest thing some of us have to representation in comics, so I really hope people get her name right 🙂

Anyway, can’t wait for issue #7!

I did not know this and had totally been Doing It Wrong. I will try to remember!
