Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall has a thing for bay leaves.

Hugh is kinda obsessed with bay. He puts it in just about everything except sweets. You could make a lovely drinking game for River Cottage that simply involved drinking every time bay was mentioned or used. I mentioned to kath-ballantyne that there should be chibi art of Hugh hugging a bay tree with love hearts floating over them, and in next to no time, she drew and coloured this, which was pretty much exactly how I envisioned it.
