Even better every fanfic is 100% true. Your wildest AUs, your fix-its, your self-inserts, your fusions with other canons… ALL OF THEM. Every one is just as valid as the ‘original’. When you take that on board, the whimsies and tortured routes of canon cannot hurt you, not badly. You just apply fanfic, and move on.
