1.

Steve and Bucky go to the hiking shop.

Bucky picks a backpack with the color of the American flag. Captain America stares at his friend, suddenly he found a gray + black + red backpack, like the color of Bucky’s arm. Then he grabs a hand with the four times the speed

.

2.

The Grand Canyon.

Steve opens the map, said: “Bucky, do you ……”

Bucky suddenly reached out to help him organize the collar, “Don’t catch cold. Jerk”

I apologize with my poor English…

This just makes me think of Captain America: Man Out of Time.

So someone on the Shrinkyclinks tag was like “skinny!steve given to the winter soldier tho”

and I was like yeeeeeeee

Hydra figures out a way to de-serum Steve and proceeds to make the fatal mistake of underestimating him. They think just cuz he’s tiny, he won’t be a threat. They think if they take away his voice and humiliate him by carving their sigil into his chest, he’ll lose the will to fight. They think giving him to whats left of his best friend will break his spirit.

they are so fucking wrong

Steve bides his time and when the moments right, he dismantles Hydra from the inside. They never should’ve underestimated Steve and they never should’ve let him near the weapon he’s known how to fire since childhood; Bucky goddamn Barnes

ok, ok so this is more than Bucky asking Steve to move in with him:

All you gotta do is shine my shoes, maybe take out the trash…

he’s asking Steve to move in with him rent-free. how much you want to bet Steve was going to art school at the time – so on top of having his mother die, he was going to have to quit school to support himself. And there’s Bucky saying you don’t have to do this alone, let me help with what I have…

#(also for the love of god somebody tell us what year this is supposed to be) (via legete)

hardboiledmeggs and I were discussing this, and she suggested mid-1930s, based on Bucky’s hair (slicked back) and attire. Can’t see it here, but he’s wearing a wide tie, and a (double-breasted?) suit with wide lapels, so I would guess around 1938, which is when the heavily padded shoulders and wide trousers came into vogue (in part due to the popularity of gangster films, which is what I thought of when I saw Bucky’s outfit). For reference, that makes Steve 19 and Bucky 20 when the scene takes places.

I’d just like to state my deep appreciation that someone dated this thanks to fashion history.  God bless fandom.
