So, this is a real place.
The Fly Geyser in Nevada, USA.
I totally thought this was digital art until I read the caption.
‘A Young Prince & His Pet’
I was sifting through my pile of Loki arts, which brought back a lot of Loki feels, especially for this brat. I was never happy with the original rendering on this drawing, so I poked at it a little today. I more or less added the line art back in and adjusted the colour slightly. I’m happier with it now.
“It’s so interesting, when you meet little kids and that resonates, when that hits home. It’s easy to think it and assume it, but then when you meet a kid and you think, “Man, this kid really looks up to me. What a strange thing. He doesn’t even know me!” That’s so funny. I remember feeling that way when I was a kid. It’s a beautiful thing. Not to sound cheesy but it’s really cool. You owe that to them. That’s part of the responsibility of this job.”
I had a brief affair with the idea of the Winter Soldier hallucinating a younger Steve after the events of the film. This ghost of a memory would serve as his slowly recovering sense of right and wrong, telling him not to kill for vengeance and telling him to defend those who are downtrodden.
He doesn’t fully recognize the boy — he certainly doesn’t yet equate him with Captain America — but some part of him desperately wishes to listen to his words.
Regardless of these feelings, the Winter Soldier continues to ignore him. He still has a mission to do: eliminate Hydra.
Officer Rogers.
This is a man who brings his girlfriend lunch at work (if he had one) and teaches Sunday School and absolutely never writes self-insert fanfiction, ever.
The world has changed and none of us can go back. All we can do is our best, and sometimes the best that we can do is to start over.
I waaaaaant so many more fics about the Winter Soldier trying to be Bucky Barnes. Trying to act like him, look like him, but it obviously doesn’t work quite right. His smiles shake at the corners and when he’s distracted from the act his body either moves steady and slow like a predator or nervous and fast like prey.
WIZARDING SCHOOLS AROUND THE WORLD: INDIA
India’s Academy of Sorcery boasts an impressive display of flashy colours, from enchanted saris that shift colours sporadically throughout the day, to the lavishly painted exterior of the academy which is situated in a nondescript location along Ganges River. Due to the frightening rate at which the school’s ancient mango tree (jokingly nicknamed “Mammoth Mango Machine”) produces mangoes, students have to endure the perpetually evolving art of mango cuisine at least five days a week. Every year, to the students’ great enjoyment, classes are halted for Diwali to make time for various competitions that take place: firework flourishes and charms for upper-year students (bonus points if it doesn’t set any part of the school on fire), and lantern designing for lower-year students (use of animals, alive or dead, is forbidden).#yes!#and there is a gurudwara and a mosque on different parts of campus as well
