Barely started this, and I am already in love with everything about it. The handle on the yarn is gorgeous – it’s Moda Vera Beetle, a 50/50 cotton acrylic blend – and the radial lines of the faggoting lace (not an epithet, a historical knitting term) are really pleasing and stand out despite the bright colourway. I hope to have this finished in time to wear to Mardi Gras, as it’s kind of the perfect mix of autistic/queer pride between the spiral design, the sensory friendly fabric and the rainbow colours. Pattern is Breathe by Siew Clark.

Clint Barton doesn’t show up 15 minutes late with Starbucks. Clint Barton shows up an hour late with cheap pizza, a broken nose, and a stray dog.

of course there is an explanation for the dog:

I was around the corner from the gift shop where I got the balloon

(this was the only ‘love’ one they had left, and it’s either clever or hopeless, I kinda futzing love it, I relate to this balloon)

and these kids were harassin’ this dog, so I said ‘hey leave the dog alone, c’mon, not cool.’

so then they’re like ‘hey mister we’ll sell him to you.’

  • not gonna lie I admire that kind of moxie
  • they wanted twenty futzing bucks
  • I gave them a dollar it is seriously all the cash I had

dented pizza is still delicious, he’s laughing and blaming his afternoon on wearing a shirt with buttons (‘I have never ever had a day go right when I wore a shirt with buttons’)

ladies and gentlemen the ever-unchanging clint barton

Bucky knitting a sock

Third in my Bucky knitting series

So I’ve seen head canons of Bucky post Winter Soldier learning to knit but I loved the idea of him learning as a child to make warm things for Steve to wear. Steve was stuck in bed a lot and Bucky would sit watch
and knitting gave him something productive to do that maybe might stop
Steve getting sick next time.
