re: cameronpost – amazon has it, but i got mine from ebay. look for a listing with a pic that shows the rainbow edge, because it shares an isbn with a non coloured edition, isbn = 9780141389165.

I had Yooka Laylee on my list to buy when we got the PS4 because it looked like my kind of thing. What with one thing and another, it didn’t get bought in the initial purchase flurry of second hand games.

I actually bought it (for $20, on clearance, from Target), and almost immediately I thought, before even loading it, ‘This looks like Banjo Kazooie.’

IT’S THE SAME FREAKING MAKERS.

The music, the sound effects, the stupid buzzy ‘voices’, the combo of two unlikely cartoon animals…

It’s ‘I Can’t Believe It’s Not Banjo Kazooie’. Except it basically is, just with a chameleon and a bat instead of a bear and a bird.

I LOVE IT. It’s stupid and colourful and THE GOAL IS TO RESCUE BOOKS.

And apparently the developers released an N64 skin for the game the other month, because they’re just as big retro dorks as I am.

Happy birthday to me!

The Upside of Unrequited and Leah on the Offbeat were presents from @lefaym. Carry On, Autoboyography and The Edge of the Abyss were from mum (bought by me as second hand and remainders). And the last eight Classic Library books were my present to myself. Low res picks because my laptop has died against and the tablet has a terrible camera.

Dougall has deemed the new dog bed acceptable. For anyone else who, like us, wants to a) reclaim their throw pillows from pets and b) bed their pets on something fabulous, cooler than most fabrics, and washable, The Reject Shop in Australia has these for $12.

Spinner fidgets finally appeared in my corner of the world, and I bought one from the dollar shop just to see what it was like and….

…I think I’m in love. $7.

Also, they had off brand big Koosh balls for $2.50, when I haven’t found any for cheaper than $20 online.

I GOT MY TANGLES TODAY! I blogged about them HERE. tl;dr, I am 100% happy! If you have a few dollars to spare and need stim toys, you should think about buying cheap tangles too!

Hey you know that post that went around about ebay listings for super cheap tangle toys?

My tangles arrived today. They arrived in two padded envelopes. (I ordered two from the original listing, and two from the second when the first listing expired.) Despite the listings saying the tangles were generic, they are ALL genuine tangles, or very good knock offs with the official Tangle logo. They got my colour choices bang on correct. It got to me in exactly two weeks, which is SUPER QUICK for Australia.

So, I spent approximately $16AUD to get four tangles. For comparison, to buy ONE I’d be lucky to get it for that price once shipping is factored in.

So, go get ‘em, peeps. They’re legit, they’re cheap, they’re quick, and they actually send you the right product.
