fira211 I made the floral shield from three different fabrics. Just went on Joanns Fabrics website and sorted the florals by colours and picked my favourite that (and cheapest) that were red, blue, and white(ish).   I have a bunch of left over fabric so I’m probably gonna make a bunch of smaller shields to put on other things.

I have a huge whole on the knee of my jeans. I should patch it. =D

It looks absolutely glorious, Nakki, I adore it. SUCH FLOWER, VERY PATRIOT.

This morning my daughter, who is nearly four, saw the stretch marks on my hips and stomach. She ran her hands over them and asked what they were.

“I got them when I grew up,” I said, “and a few more when I had you.” I grinned down at her. “They’re my stripes. You’ll get stripes too when you grow up.”

She was overjoyed. “Really?

I think she’s in her room now, pretending to be a tiger.

This is what we need to teach.

Two Finnish students decided to build a slightly more hardcore gingerbread house. (source, in Finnish tho)

Slightly

is that fucking Barad-dûr

Here’s a picture of the finished Ginger-Dûr. (Source: Turkulainen, unfortunately only in Finnish, but there are other nifty gingerbread houses in the gallery. My other fave is the Moomin house.)

The article says it took 13.5 kilos of gingerbread dough to make this and it’s over a metre tall. The guys who made it are also studying construction engineering so no wonder…

I call this a CHALLENGE!

i’m having an existential crisis

I am so sorry, but this is actually probably true. Plants co evolved to reward us for cultivating and propagating them. It’s called exorphin theory, and plants are pretty much just using us as their means of reproduction. That’s why humans show nearly every sign of species domestication. Have a good night, friend.

Trees are superior and I completely accept this.

I, for one, welcome our arboreal overlords.

We are Groot.
