Here’s the second Bucky picture from Switchblade Knife. The ear cuff is a silver dragon. Not sure if this goes big enough for you to see it properly. Anyone know how to get Tumblr to show decent sized artwork? A bunch of my recent stuff has really been shrunk down and clicking on it doesn’t make it any bigger.

So Kate and I are writing this Elementary school AU. I love co-writing. It’s super fun and challenging in new ways and just fantastic when you’re working with someone awesome (which Kate is). Downside? You’re now dealing with twice the number of brains. That’s twice the number of ideas for setting and appearances. For instance, I didn’t know our little school (which still has yet to be named) had a second story until Kate wrote it. I had a completely different layout in my head.
Being a visual person, I get almost as much joy out of making reference pieces (maps, timelines, etc) as I do the actual story. And this is how I spent my Friday night; my brain found it incredibly soothing (I’m weird). This is our school.
I also sketched out the schedule for the specials teachers so I would know who is going to which classes on the different days of the week. And I’ve also started a timeline for Wishes & Nightmares, but since that one is going to be super-spoilerly (and I still don’t know what exactly is going on a good chunk of it), that won’t get posted for a while. Or at least not the full version.

I LOVE MAPS. As a bonus feature they’re right up there with commentaries as my favourite bonus feature ever.
2nd Steve picture in this series. You can see his shield tattoo in this one and I added the wings from his helmet. The dog tags are his father’s. Bucky sometimes teases him about his big boots and big hair trying to make him seem taller but it must work because Bucky often forgets Steve’s not 10ft tall unless he’s curled up around broken ribs or something.

Artist’s Notes: Pose very much inspired by this awesome Supernatural cosplay. I’ve been wanting to draw fighty, bitey, righteous skinny Steve for a while. I know there are quite a few punk versions of the guys out there but I still couldn’t help trying my own. I have a few more art works to do in this series. I’ve got a punk/rockabilly Bucky drawn and started on another and plans for Peggy, Natasha and Sam too. Oh and a couple picture of Steve and Bucky. I really wish I could write. Or draw story comics. I want to know more about these guys. Steve goes to protests and ends up in fights with counter protestors or just guys on the street who are shit to women or who use the word gay as an insult. He’s got a complicated relationship with pain.I tried to fit in hints of his Cap uniform. I really want his boots though.

Winter soldiers
Let’s assume that captain also fell down that train and they both were found by the Soviets…..
I really need to read or write the canon-divergent story where Steve realizes that the Winter Soldier is a victim before he realizes that the Winter Soldier is Bucky Barnes. Steve sees an equal — another super-soldier — and understands that he’s never had the choices Steve got; where so many of Steve’s friends think it’s crazy, but Steve decides to save him, anyway.
(And the Winter Soldier wants to trust this man — this target — who’s offering help, and kindness, even though he has got no idea why).
It’s reckless, and borderline suicidal, but Steve does it — Steve finds a way to offer the Winter Soldier a way out from HYDRA, to give him protection, Steve defends him from everyone who says that he is a monster — without having ever even seen his face.
Because Steve Rogers sees the best in everyone, and I want the AU where it is that quality that brings him back the person he loves most in the world. The AU where Steve takes the muzzle-mask off the Winter Soldier’s face the first time that the Winter Soldier lets him come close enough, and finds Bucky Barnes.
