I think this is really important, as are the things coming out from veterans of conflict who fought fascism and Nazis on the front line, whether in war or in their communities. We need to look to the elders among us as to how to deal with this present. Whether those elders are black, Hispanic, queer, Jewish, Roma, migrant, disabled, Native/First Nations, white, Asian, or something different entirely or any combination of intersectionality of identities – these people have fought this kind of hatred before. They have knowledge. They have understanding. They have tools that they can give us, and they have the strength and resilience that comes from surviving terrible circumstances.

slightly dehydrated, eating refried beans out of a can in an abandoned old metal trailer in the desert. My look can be described as “grungey power ranger shounen.” With me are four other people with similar aesthetics, dipping their feet in a duct-taped wading pool and sharing a cooler of popsicles. Against a cinder-block fire-pit that may or may not shelter multiple rattlesnakes leans a bright yellow vespa that may or may not be able to hover, and a goat is chewing on what’s left of a potted plant just outside the trailer’s front door. On an old radio with antenna longer than I am tall, tuned into an un-locatable radio station, my chemical romance crackles in and out. The government thinks I’m dead and my student loans are void. Things are good.
The ending really floored me.

My best friend made me a fidget cube for Christmas and I’m so excited.
This is so cool! All you need to make one of these is some wood, some sand paper, a trip to a harware store to pick out your desired fidgets, and a drill/screwdriver.
This looks so steampunk and awesome!
So apparently my subconscious self decided I was lacking in ‘pink’ in my diet when I went shopping earlier.
I also bought cooked prawns, sweet potato, and radishes, but at least they were on the shopping list.
Actually super excited for the cordial, because I like pink grapefruit in juices and things, and Bickfords do gorgeous cordials.
