#i was going to meta this but this is kind of too emotionally devastating to meta#we see the men of shield get entire movies and series of their pain and emotions#and see the women in moments like these#small quiet and private moments#and that they get mere moments to grieve just breaks my heart#it’s not that i don’t love getting to see them be lethally competent and getting stuff done because i do#but they’ve lost just as much if not more with the fall of shield#and maria’s defending its ghosts in congress#may’s keeping it together because phil’s the heart of shield now and she has to protect that#nat at least is off rebuilding herself#and i just want them to get time to grieve for themselves and what they’ve lost#maria hill#melinda may#natasha romanoff (via regionsofkindness)
